This is the album cover for Newton Faulkner's fourth album 'Studio Zoo', photographed by myself. It was most definitely the strangest photo shoot I have ever done, after spending a good few hours filling Newton's studio with every guitar and musical instrument that we could find around his house we then had to work out how to successfully take a photograph from the GoPro camera whilst it was connected to the iPad. There was a 20 second delay between the camera screen (the iPad) and what I was seeing in real life, very confusing to say the least! We wanted something that captured the whole concept of Studio Zoo, and what better place to photograph it than where all the magic happened every hour of every day. The 'audience' of instruments represents you guys! As you were there through all the ups and downs, each of you will have your own individual and special memories that you can relate to Studio Zoo. I guess it could also represent the intensity of the process, and how we were constantly aware that we were being watched.
It's crazy to think that in a matter of days, my photograph (and all of the photographs I took inside the album) will be seen by people all over the world! I've already seen a lot of people who pre-ordered the album posting photos on social networking sites of their album - Amazing!
